New Sinn 140 with day-date?

Dear Mates,

anyone having an info or opinion would be nice to share:

The new, ETA-Valjoux based SZ01 with the central minute counter came (comes) out in two different versions, one with 24 h subdial and date at 4:30 and one without 24 h subdial and date at 3. The question is if the modification of the minute counter makes impossible to feature the week-day (=day&date) at 3 or planning a date-only model (as on the pictures) is only a decision made by Sinn HQ?

If the latter, it would be very nice to have (at least as optional) a "day-date at 3" version of the new Sinn 140, thus eliminating those writings on the weekday window place, gaining more simmetry of the dial (why not using a circle around the day-date as on a few other watches, an older Tissot occurs here to my mind:
http://www.keepthetime.com/index.php?mai…products_id=614 )
having a very useful feature again and resembling much more the original Sinn 140 of the Lemania 140/142 series.

I'd love the new Sinn 140 with day-date at 3 (all-black dial, polished/brushed case) and would buy this watch in the very first minute of appearance...

A new bezel-crown with usable size (like many other Sinn models, e. g. the Sinn 900) would also be highly welcome...

Sorry for posting in English - German replies are highly welcome! Thx for every input, regards:
Robert

Hey Robert,

I'm not sure about the Day-Date, as the function is indeed possible within
the 7750 but some options are not practicable.

Ain't I right that the combination of a second time zone and the day-window
isn't possible? Hence there will probably not be a new version with day-window,
seeing that the central stop-minute hand is based on the former UTC hand!

What strikes me about the new versions is how deep the date is hidden under
the dial, looking sidewise on it means not to see the date :S

Those decisions have always been made by Sinn HQ, but certainly they have
always been aware of what customers prefer. Unfortunately too many people
don't like or mind about the day thus we have to dispence with it.

Nevertheless it's nice to have a new version of those models, as the older
ones keep stable on value :D

If you prefer the day-date versions look out for an old 140/142 ;)

Dennis,

thx for your reply, very interesting thoughts!
I do not think that the chronograph minute counter is based on the 24 h hand, because a. o. on the EZM10 you have both. (I know you mean the independant 24 h central hand.) My problem with the possibility of the day window is that the additional gears be shifting the axis of the minute counter could mantle the original place of the weekday feature parts. Otherwise there could be two models, one with and the other without day-date, like there was in case of the Sinn 103 models - made in both day-date and date-only models.
BTW I don't know why the date disc is deeper than usual on the 7750, my only idea is the highly antimagnetic dial which could be a tad thicker but I don't know how it is managed at other Sinn models.

I already have a Lemania-driven 142, the beautiful Bell@Ross by Sinn version, brushed/polished case, but I'd love to have the new one (day-date) too, because of the tegimented case, the hopefully taller and thus better usable bezel-crown and the good parts supply of the ETA-7750. Maybe the 140 will also have the stronger grayish AR glass treatment.

Exciting questions.... :) Hopefully Sinn/Frankfurt am Main is also listening...

Best regards,
Robert

A antimagnetic inner case puts 1mm on top of the heigth of a watch without.
However - it doesn't look good on the 140 :S

We'll probably have to wait a long time till the presented models will be deliverd.
Don't want to imagine how long it might take to get some other versions
