Wann schaltet euer Datum um? Official Sinn date switch test

Sorry for the English reply: I have every watch driven by ETA-Valjoux 7750 let with my watchmaker re-adjusted: so both the day and the date switch complete by around 02:00 AM. This makes me a few advantages: - though I usually go to sleep hours before midnight sometimes it takes a tad longer and I don't like to see partially moved discs. - this way "funcionally" I see and feel the passing day as one unit and do not have to think if I peep at my watch just before or after midnight. - I have two m...

Sinn 103 St plexy - an upgrade to screwdown pushers

Dear Forum Mates, could someone with advanced Photoshop skills make a "mixture" of a 103 St plexy -mixed up with the screwdown pushers of the 103 St Sa? (possibly in unscrewed state of the pushers). I wonder how it would look as I'm playing with the idea of giving the middle part of the case to a very skilled watchmaker with perfect case working abilities too to enlarge the outer part of the pusher holes to take up the wider shoulders of the screwdown pushers (with maintaining the waterresistanc...

Modellreihe 103

Quoted from "selespeed" Heute wieder mal die gute alte 103 St mit Acryl und überschwerem Sekundenstopper Where could I get the very same bezel for my 103 St plexy? The edge of this one seems much better for grabbing and turning, the only concern of mine (present style of bezel edge) is that I cannot grab it well enough thus turning is hard, e. g. when things are wet. (Bezel spring does not have too large resistance, so that's not the problem.) Thanks a lot! Regards, Robert

Sapphire crystal, Argon filling - when were they introduced for the Sinn 103?

I wonder from which year (I think in the mid nineties) were sapphire crystal and dehumidifying capsule/Argon filling available for the Sinn 103 St? I've seen recently some 103 St Sa models without the capsule/screw at 8 and they are quite appealing for me (most of them in bad condition though). So I think sapphire was a few years earlier available. If anyone has more precise info I'd be happy with that. Little help: I've bought my first new Sinn back between 1996 and 1998 and it was a 203 Ti Ar,...

One day in remote future, Robertusz, there will be a SINN watch, which meet 100 percent of your needs  ! Fortunately there are quite a few one of them just on my wrist now as I type this: the 103 St plexy one of the true iconic Sinns.

Time of switch by Sinn between luminous materials and bezel styles

Dear Mates, I'll ask first of all those who have catalogs from year 1999 and/or 2000: I'd like to know when Sinn changed the 103/203 series from Tritium dial to Luminova and the 103 (St and Ti) series from plain the count-up aluminium bezel to the "domed" countdown metal/alu bezel? I have catalogs from 1998 and 2001 and the 1998 catalog still shows Tritium dial 103/203 and count-up aluminium bezel, while the 2001 catalog already writes (elsewhere in the general description) about non-radiation l...

My Arktis as a Flieger again...

Sorry I've just realized that the original scan in this thread must have been removed by me - dunno how I did it but here it is again As a reply to some of you: yes, I know that some "Sinners", first of all purist dislike the personalization I did to my Arktis but I've always thought about the Arktis as the basis of one of the most beautiful Fliegerchronos: the case design and the bezel design are both very, very typical Flieger-like. The case/lug design goes back to the Mathey-Tissot/Breguet T...

Classic 7750 day-date to drive Sinn 140A

I'd be very happy if Sinn would produce the new 140A (brushed/polished case for me!) with the "normal" ETA-Valjoux 7750 inside! According to my knowledge Sinn is short of the SZ01 and thus could sell more watches of this classic 142 design. For me it would be good, because: 1. the watch could be way less expensive 2. would have the important weekday feature 3. maybe with a small re-design the case could be thinner (again according to my informations the SZ01 is thicker than the street version) b...
